Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 8 September 2026
This policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for admissions to Bengal Echoes Learning programmes. It should be read together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Bengal Echoes Learning programmes are operated by Bengal Echoes Private Limited (“Bengal Echoes”).
The stages of admission
An admission moves through the following stages:
- Application submitted. You complete and submit the admission form for a programme. At this point your details are recorded and a payment link for the programme fee is created for you. Your place is not yet held.
- Payment. You pay the programme fee using the secure payment page provided by our payment processor (Razorpay). The fee amount is set by Bengal Echoes; it is shown to you before payment and cannot be edited by you.
- Payment verification. Our systems verify the payment with the payment processor.
- Admission confirmed. Once the payment for your admission has been received and verified, your admission is confirmed and your place in the programme is held.
“Admission confirmed” means the point at which the payment for that admission has been received and verified against your admission record. Before that point, an application is recorded as submitted and the payment as pending.
Course admission fees are non-refundable once admission is confirmed
Except where otherwise required by applicable law, course admission fees are non-refundable once admission has been confirmed. This includes, for example, situations where a learner later changes their mind, is unable to attend some or all classes, or does not complete the programme.
The only refund ordinarily offered by Bengal Echoes is for a verified duplicate payment relating to the same admission or programme, as described below.
Exception: verified duplicate payment
A duplicate payment may be refunded after verification.
A “duplicate payment” means an unintended payment made more than once for the same admission or programme — for example, if a payment page was submitted twice and the fee was charged more than once for a single place. It does not mean payments for different programmes, for different batches, or for admissions of different people, each of which is a separate purchase.
Requesting a duplicate-payment refund
Send a refund request to hello@bengalechoes.com with enough information for us to verify the payments, such as:
- the name and email used for the admission;
- the programme and batch;
- the date(s) and amount(s) of the payments; and
- any payment reference or receipt information you have.
Please do not send full card numbers, CVV numbers, passwords, one-time passcodes, or other sensitive payment credentials. We do not need them and you should never share them by email.
How a refund is processed
Where a duplicate payment is verified, the refund is made to the original payment method through the original payment channel. Refunds are subject to that verification and to the payment processor’s own processing mechanisms and timelines, which are outside Bengal Echoes’ control.
Changes to programmes and schedules
Where reasonably required, Bengal Echoes may make necessary changes to class schedules, session timings, instructors, delivery arrangements, or the details of course content. We will aim to keep the overall nature and value of a programme intact. Ordinary changes of this kind are not, by themselves, grounds for a refund.
