Terms of Use — Bengal Echoes

1. About these terms

This website and the Bengal Echoes Learning programmes are operated by Bengal Echoes Private Limited (“Bengal Echoes”, “we”, “us”). By using this website, or by applying for or taking part in a Bengal Echoes programme, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or the programmes.

These terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy and our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

2. Use of the website

You may read and use this website for your own personal, non-commercial information and learning. You must not misuse the website — for example by attempting to disrupt it, gain unauthorised access to any system or account, scrape or harvest content at scale, or use it in a way that breaks any applicable law.

3. Intellectual property and copyright

The original creative and educational materials made available by Bengal Echoes are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property rights, owned by or licensed to Bengal Echoes. Protected material includes, but is not limited to:

photographs and graphics;
written text, articles and stories;
videos and films;
audio, podcasts and other audio content;
PDFs, presentations and other documents;
educational and course materials;
recorded classes and live class materials and content;
logos, the Bengal Echoes name, and branding elements; and
other original materials published or provided by Bengal Echoes.

This applies to content published or provided on the Bengal Echoes website, its digital platforms, its Learning programmes, Knowledge Studio, and related Bengal Echoes channels and materials, as applicable.

Except where a lawful exception applies, or where you have our prior written permission, you must not reproduce, copy, redistribute, republish, resell, commercially exploit, publicly distribute, upload elsewhere, or otherwise misuse Bengal Echoes’ copyrighted materials.

4. Name, logo and branding

The Bengal Echoes name, logo, visual identity and branding elements are protected intellectual-property and branding assets. You must not use, reproduce, modify or display them without permission, and you must not use them in any way that suggests endorsement, affiliation or partnership that does not exist.

5. Learning programmes and course access

Where you are admitted to a Bengal Echoes programme, access to the programme and its materials is granted to you, the enrolled learner, for the intended educational purpose. Course materials, recordings and other learning resources are not automatically licensed to you for redistribution or commercial reuse.

Paying for a programme does not transfer to you any ownership of Bengal Echoes’ underlying intellectual property. You receive access for your own learning, not ownership of the materials.

6. Admission and payment

An admission proceeds in stages:

Application submitted — you complete and submit the admission form; your details are recorded and a payment link for the programme fee is created for you.
Payment — you pay the programme fee on the secure payment page provided by our payment processor (Razorpay). The fee amount is set by Bengal Echoes, shown before payment, and cannot be edited by you.
Payment verification — the payment is verified with the payment processor.
Admission confirmed — once the payment for your admission has been received and verified, your admission is confirmed and your place is held.

Payment is handled by the payment processor under its own terms and privacy practices. You are responsible for giving accurate information in the admission form.

7. Refund and cancellation

Except where otherwise required by applicable law, course admission fees are non-refundable once admission has been confirmed. The only refund ordinarily offered by Bengal Echoes is for a verified duplicate payment relating to the same admission or programme. 8. Course recordings and educational materials

Class recordings and course materials are provided to enrolled learners for their own personal learning during and after the programme, as made available by Bengal Echoes. They are not provided for you to download and redistribute, to share with people who are not enrolled, to re-upload to other platforms, or to sell or otherwise use commercially.

9. Prohibited copying, piracy and redistribution

You must not pirate or redistribute course materials or learning content. This includes, without limitation:

recording live classes without permission;
redistributing or sharing live class recordings or recorded classes;
downloading and redistributing course PDFs or other materials;
sharing paid course content with people who are not enrolled;
uploading course recordings or materials to other websites or platforms;
selling or commercially redistributing course materials; and
sharing access credentials or admission access for unauthorised use.

If a person pirates, reproduces, distributes, sells, uploads, or otherwise unlawfully uses Bengal Echoes’ copyrighted course or educational content, Bengal Echoes reserves the right to take appropriate legal action and to pursue the remedies available to it under applicable law.

10. Changes to programmes and schedules

Where reasonably required, Bengal Echoes may make necessary changes to class schedules, session timings, instructors, delivery arrangements, or the details of course content. We will aim to keep the overall nature and value of a programme intact. Ordinary changes of this kind are not, by themselves, grounds for a refund; refunds remain governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

11. Community participation

Where Bengal Echoes runs a community space, group or discussion (for example around Knowledge Studio or a Learning programme), you take part on the basis that you will be respectful and lawful, will not share others’ personal information without consent, and will not post material that infringes intellectual-property rights or breaks the law. Bengal Echoes may moderate, remove content, or remove participants where reasonably necessary.

12. Third-party links and services

This website links to, and relies on, third-party services — for example the payment processor, video platforms, and social channels. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. Bengal Echoes is not responsible for third-party websites or services and does not control them.

13. Educational nature of the content

Bengal Echoes content, including its storytelling, Knowledge Studio and Learning materials, is provided for general information and education. It is not professional, legal, financial or other specialist advice, and should not be relied on as such. Historical and cultural interpretation can be contested and may be revised as understanding develops.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Bengal Echoes will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of this website or its content. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, and nothing in these terms removes or overrides any right you have that cannot lawfully be waived.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the website or the programmes after a change means you accept the updated terms.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any right you have under applicable law to bring proceedings elsewhere, the competent courts in India shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or from use of the website or the programmes.
